OBI EMELONYE RETURNS WITH LAST FLIGHT TO ABUJA

The award winning director and producer of one of the highest grossing Nollywood movies in 2011, The Mirror Boy, Obi Emelonye is back with a new flick, Last Flight to Abuja.

The movie which centers on the ills of the Aviation Industry stared  Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Jim Iyke, Hollywood Nigerian actor, Hakeem Kae Kazeem, Jide Kosoko, Ali Nuhu, Anthony Monjaro, Celine Loader, Uru Eke and other fantastic acts.

The movie had it's first premiere at the Troxy Theater in London and was dedicated to the memory of the victims of the June 3rd air crashes in Nigeria and Ghana with the names on the manifest replacing the end credit of the movie.

Last Flight To Abuja reveals extensively, the daring mid-air difficulties that stare most Nigerian commercial passengers in the face and how in this instance the victicious Flamigo Airways plane is forced to make an emergency landing which lead to devastating consequences.

The movie which already had a press screening is set to premiere in Nigeria August 3 @ the Genesis Delux cinema and opens officially nationwide.

It tells the story of a set of everyday Nigerian travelers who boreded the last Flamingo Airways flight scheduled to fly from Lagos to Abuja on a faithful friday night in 2006. The Plane cruises at 30,000 feet, tranquil and on schedule. But like a bolt out of the blue,through the mix of human error, technical failure and sheer bad luck, the plane rapidly develops major fault that send it teetering on the brink of disaster.
As the pilots fight with controls of the stricken plane, a series of flashback unravel the twist, turns and leap of fate that put each passenger on the fateful flight. Young lovers, an elderly couple, a corporate party, a sports man on the threshold  of greatness; all the passengers are caught up in the nightmare scenario and sense the final moments of their lives approaching.

Produced by Obi Emelonye and Charles Thompson, directed and screenplay by Obi Emelonye. It has Executive Producers as Amasike Emelonye, Nyimbi Odero and Celine Loader. Director of Photography as James Costello and CGI Producer as Gold Danisa.
